LanSync Calendar CLI
LanSync Calendar CLI, also referred to as LanSync, is a local command-line application developed by Tyon. It helps a user connect to Google Calendar and synchronize calendar data from the user's own device.
What the App Does
LanSync Calendar CLI is a user-facing utility for Google Calendar. After the user signs in with Google OAuth, the app can read calendar data and create or update calendar events according to the user's direct commands.
- Read calendar and event information from the user's Google Calendar account.
- Create, update, or synchronize events when the user requests those actions.
- Store the user's OAuth token and configuration locally on the user's own device.
Why the App Requests Google User Data
The application requests Google Calendar access only so that the user can sign in and let LanSync Calendar CLI perform the calendar actions the user explicitly asks for.
- OAuth access is used to identify the user's Google account and authorize access to Google Calendar.
- Calendar data is used to read existing events and to create or update events requested by the user.
- The application does not request Google user data for advertising, resale, or unrelated profiling.
How the OAuth Flow Works
- The user opens LanSync Calendar CLI on their own device.
- The user signs in with Google and reviews the requested scopes on the Google consent screen.
- After consent is granted, the application uses the approved access to read or update Google Calendar data for the user.
- The user can revoke access at any time in their Google Account permissions settings.
How Data Is Handled
LanSync Calendar CLI does not operate a hosted backend for user data processing. Google user data accessed through the app is used only to provide calendar synchronization features requested by the user.
- No sale of Google user data.
- No advertising use of Google user data.
- No transfer of Google user data to data brokers or information resellers.
- No use of Google user data for general-purpose AI or machine learning model training.
